Berean Baptist Academy was founded by BBC Ministry in July 1984 with the signing of the Accelerated Christian Education purchase agreement for the use of its materials. It operated from the facility at 998 and 1000 Colborne Street East in Brantford under Luther Goff.

In 1997, with the purchase of a new facility at 256 St. George Street in Brantford, the church and the academy relocated to its present address.

Berean Baptist Academy operates as an arm of the Berean Baptist Church. As such, its mission is to glorify God through the ministry of educating youth to their highest academic, spiritual and social achievement. Berean Baptist Academy’s purpose is first to educate youth to become intelligent, independent and industrious in scholastic, spiritual and social skills. Second, to encourage each individual to take their place responsibly within society, under which ever occupation or calling God would have for their lives.

The curriculum of Berean Baptist Academy is Accelerated Christian Education. All teaching must be in harmony with the Word of God and is rooted in objective reality and absolutes. The traditional Christian approach to learning is used in contrast to humanistic philosophies. (Philippians 4:8 “…whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.)

It is imperative that the families who have their children in the academy exemplify the same values as the ministry. We believe that the education of children at home, in church and in the academy must be consistent, and always Christ honouring.
